He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl R. Kurtz and Mollie Kurtz (Lehman); his wife Ruby M. Kurtz (Brozell); and his siblings, Anna Marie Kurtz and Raymond Kurtz.
He is survived by: his children, Debra K. Grate (Sam) of Salem, OH and Donald E. Kurtz (Karen) of Hartville, OH; his grandchildren, Kassidy, Raegan Kurtz, Titus Kurtz (Hanna), Mollie Welling (Charlie), Valerie Williams (Dominic) and Angela Grate (Matthew Heim); his great grandchild Elliott Kurtz; and his brother Edgar Kurtz.
