It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Johnston of Salem, Ohio, born in Hubbard, Ohio, who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Finley Johnston and Eva Johnston (Wells); his former wife Emily M. McConahy; his son Richard C. "Rick" Johnston; and his sister Virginia Chalky.
He is survived by: his wife Andrea Lee Okinis; his children, John E. Johnston Sr. (Shelly) of Toronto, Cindy L. Simpson (Jerry) of Leetonia, Gary L. Johnston (Donna) of Salineville and Barbara "Bobbie" Sprouse (Kenneth) of Lisbon; and his brother Arthur Johnston (Dottie) of St. Louis, MO.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
