She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Bartholow and Janet M. Bartholow; and her son Michael F. Beard. She is survived by: her husband Ronald B. Carey; her daughter Jana R. Beard; and her siblings, Linda Bernard, Chuck Bartholow and John Gluckner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
