He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Watson and Mary E. Watson (Zimmerman); his wife Barbara Watson (Jurina); and his brother Sam Watson. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly S. Myers (John) of Salem and Jeff L. Watson (Linda) of Salem; and his brother Rick Watson of Alliance. He is also survived by two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
