Demes of Salem, Ohio, born in Canfield, Ohio, who passed away on December 4, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Demes and Mary Demes (Kohler); and his siblings, Marian Barnes, Steve Demes of Demes Tool, John Demes and Edward Demes.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred M. McCluggage; and his children, Sandra L. Hough (Robert "Bud") of Ellsworth, Robert L. Demes (Kris) of Berlin Center, John Gary Demes (Donna Mae) of Berlin Center and Julie Hill (Patrick) of Canfield. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
