He is survived by: his wife Ruth Libert Schmid; his children, Robert Schmid, Jr. (Misty Kent) of Ostrander and Elizabeth Keefer (Brad) of Washington, PA; and his stepdaughters, Shannon Boyce of Lisbon and Jessica Libert of Lisbon.
