He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Howard and Margaret Marie McKenna Fluharty; his sister Tina Lanney; his half-sister Jean Fluharty; his brother-in-law Lynn Schmidt; his niece Lori Custer; and his nephew Jason Lanney.
He is survived by: his children, Samantha Fluharty Cortes (Ulises) of Indiana and Chase Fluharty of Michigan; his siblings, Brenda Schmidt of Salem and Thomas Fluharty of Washingtonville; his half-sister Dana Hill of Salineville; and his granddaughter Mari Anna Cortes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
