He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Ann Stape (Crisman); his grandson Finn Arthur Smith; his sister-in-law Laurie Stape; and his pet Muttley. He is survived by: his father Richard Charles Stape, Sr.; his wife Lora Virginia "Lori" Stape (Moats); his children, Steven Richard Stape, Stacy Susan Stape, Robin Stape (Arthur Lucci), Becky A. Smith (Brad) and Rachel L. Dailey-Elsass; his grandchildren, Valerie, Caitlyn, Lacey, Avery, Nicholas and Zach; and his siblings, Karen Nave (Dave), Michael Stape, Shirley Nave (Doug), Linda Hickman (Jeff) and Gary Stape (Stephanie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Stark Memorial (1014 E State St, Salem, OH 44460). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
