He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cole and Clara Cole (Bryan); and his brothers, Bill, Raymond, Don and Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Warmuth Cole; his children, Richard W. Cole, Jr. (Kim), Matthew S. Cole (Becky) and Jennifer L. Cole; his grandchildren, Ian, Derrek, Brendan, Connor, Molly, Abby and Lexi; his siblings, Dale Cole (Louise) and Betty Firmstone (Bill); and his siblings-in-law, Maggie Cole and Bill Warmuth (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
