With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy L. Polen of Salem, Ohio, born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 4, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Dies and Anna Dias (Grindle); her husband John Polen; her daughter Bridget Spencer; her grandson Brad Lee Spencer; and her siblings, Wanda, Kimmie and Ralph Dias.

She is survived by: her children, Brian Spencer (Brenda) of Washingtonville, Barry Spencer of Canton, Joe Spencer of Salem, Kenny Spencer of Salem and Debbie Gentry (Gary) of Zoe, KY; and her siblings, Leona Maney (Lou), Jean Toscano (Tom), Karen Gustkey, Jim Dies of Salem and Bill Dias of Alliance. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
