He was predeceased by: his mother Doris "DJ" Dennison (Ling); his brother Richard Jr.; and his grandparents, George, Doris Ling (Colbert) and Roger Dennison (Dwight Nelson).

He is survived by: his father Richard E. Dennison Sr.; his significant other Karli Utt; his siblings, James of Salem, Paternal, Jennifer Ling of Salem, Paternal, Rachel Dennison of Salem, Paternal and Justin Dennison of Salem, Paternal; his grandmother Ruthann Dennison (Richards); his aunts and uncles, Sarah Nelson, James, George Ling (Patricia), Danny, Fred, John Dennison (Teresa), Joyce Shelosky (Greg), Jennie Harold (Craig), Gayle Ling (Mayhugh), Suzanne Mehno and Anne Smith; and his godson Miles Hovanic. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

I had the privilege of attending Kent with him, and we shared many memories of working on projects in communications, talking about baseball (of course the Chicago Cubs), food, and politics.
