He is survived by: his father Paul James Schmidt of Payne; his wife Brenda Schmidt (Fluharty); his sons, Eric J. Schmidt of Oakdale, PA and Mason P. Schmidt of Odessa, TX; his stepdaughter Kristy Rothbrust (Nick) of Marysville, OH; his grandchildren, Brody and Lena Rothbrust; and his siblings, Mark Schmidt (Jo) of Altamorte Springs, FL, Kim Schmidt of Payne, Dave Schmidt (Helen) of Seymour, IN, Nancy Hicks (Mike) of Payne, Julie Schneider (Jim) of Convoy, Randy Schmidt (Kathy) of Muncie, IN, Cindy Rahrig (Dave) of Dallas, TX, Heidi Simmons (Rob) of Springport, IN and Tyler Schmidt (Kris) of Payne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
