She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Shanks, (Watkins) and John H. Shanks, Sr.; her son Johnny Ray Phillips; her brother Curtis; her sister-in-law Janice Shanks; her sister Nadyne Underhill; and her great grandchild Baby John.
She is survived by: her children, Diana Vitagliano (John) of Lakeland, FL, Deborah Phillips of Steubenville, Tom Martin (Rebecca) of Brilliant, OH and Tim Martin of Tampa, FL; her siblings, Joyce Morrow of Calcutta, Sharon Webber (Jim) of Beloit, OH, Darrell Shanks (Lois) of Washington, PA and John H. Shanks, Jr. (Arlene) of Pittsburgh; and her great grandchildren, Zeke Elliott Silva and Judy. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
