He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mayhew and Mildred Cleland Mayhew; and his brother Paul Mayhew. He is survived by: his wife Laura Wood Mayhew; his children, James D Mayhew II (Tracy) of Beloit, Kathy Errington of Kosciusko, MS and Chris Mayhew (Angie) of Salem; and his grandchildren, J. D., Jesse, Chris, Cody, Ricky, Scott, Keegan and Kenna. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
