He was predeceased by: his parents, John Beery and Lois Beery (Coy); and his brother John Beery. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Stewart; his children, Jamie Beery of Columbus, Josh Beery (Tesa) of Columbiana and John "J. J."; and his grandchildren, Seth Beery, Gavin McGilvary and Thomas Gage Piatt.
