He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Nelder and Doris Lamar Nelder; his grandson Landon; and his sisters, Rebecca McDonough and Mary Ann Nelder.
He is survived by: his wife Mary K. Nelder; his children, Chrissy Smith of Salem, Steven Nelder of Lisbon, Scott Nelder of East Palestine, Starla Adams of Wellsville and Jennifer Barret of Warren; and his siblings, David Nelder of Warren, Martin Nelder of Lordstown, Gregory Nelder of Diamond, Roger Nelder of Lisbon, Kenneth Nelder of Lisbon, Nelson Nelder of Grafton, W. Va, Kevin Nelder of Lisbon and Robin Nelder of Diamond. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
