He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Smith and Marguirite Smith (Crook); and his siblings, Ron, George Smith and Judy Foerster.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Louise Smith (Needham); his children, Ginger Panek (Tom) of Columbiana, Pastor Patrick Smith (Waterford) and Tim Smith (Debbie) of Salem; his grandchildren, Tommy, Zach, Matthew, Alex, Timmy and Travis; his great grandchild Dalton; and his siblings, Reverend Maxine Bartholomew (Richard), Lima, Eddie Smith Jr. (Irene) of Wisconsin and Karen Pace of Utah. He is also survived by grandfather and spoiled his grandchildren.

Smitty's faith was the foundation upon which everything in his life was built.
