It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Essie Barnard of Salem, Ohio, born in Rogers, Ohio, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Gorby and Clara Ward Gorby; her husband Carl Norman Barnard; her daughter Pearl Jane Bennett; and her stepson Carl Barnard, Jr..
She is survived by: her son Terry P. Barnard of Minerva. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana where masks will be required, and social distancing will be observed.
