He was predeceased by: his parents, Zana Newhouse and Ercelene Compton Newhouse; and his siblings, Mary Ann Newhouse, Charlotte Wischermann, Lucy Minor, Roy Newhouse, Fred Newhouse, William Newhouse, Robert Compton and Duane Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Dudick Newhouse; his children, Robert Newhouse of Tulsa, OK, David Newhouse, Jr. of Damascus and Lori Whissinger (Shawn) of North Jackson; and his sister Beverly Newhouse. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
