He was predeceased by: his parents, William Probert and Marie Probert of Salem, Ohio.; and his brother Richard Probert (Mary) of Shadyside, Ohio. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Scott Probert (Shelli) and Kimberly Skelding (Rusty); his granddaughter Tabitha Skelding of Dayton, Ohio.; and his pet Maggie.

Donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or other cancer research charity are requested in lieu of flowers.
