Charles left this world on February 6, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin S. Harris and Mary Pottorf Harris; his siblings, Jim Harris and Mary Lou Whitman; and his grandchildren, Joscelin Hobbs (Ellyson) and Katie Stocker.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Harris (Shaw); his daughters, Lori Stocker (Tom) of Danville, KY, Lisa Ellyson (Mike) of Kensington, Joyce Harris of San Diego, CA and Misty Hughes (Corey) of Alliance; his grandchildren, Travis Ellyson, Melinda McCowan (Anthony), Kelly Stratton (Artie), Tyler Ellyson (Lacey), Zachary Parks (Becca), Sierra Werling (Josh), Mallory Weyer (Cameron), Allison Anderson, Hillary Stacy (Scott) and Mason Hughes (Emily); his great grandchildren, Cole (Emily), Trent, Brinley, Dallas, Karli, Olivia Ellyson, Blake, Kade McCowan, Laci, Kali Stratton, Scarlett, Paige Stacy, Wesley, Jesse Werling and Baby Weyer; and his siblings-in-law, Blair Whitman and Jean Harris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stark Memorial (1014 E State St, Salem, OH 44460). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith Building Fund. Chuck's life story, his enduring love for his family, and his contributions to the community will be fondly remembered and celebrated by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
