It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Scott of Salem, Ohio, born in Winona, Ohio, who passed away on August 11, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Burt C. Capel and Hazel M. Capel (Lottman); her husband J. Reid Scott; her siblings, Bruce A. Capel, Richard G. Capel, Burt C. Capel, Jr. and Jo-Ann Harrigan (William); and her brother-in-law Richard Kastenhuber.

She is survived by: her daughters, Leisa J. Scott of Brecksville, OH, Linda S. Chrzanowski (Alan) of Yardley, PA, Laurie K. Ondus (Matthew) of Rock Hill, SC and Luann G. Johnson (Sam) of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Phillip Chrzanowski, Lillian, Olivia, Joseph, Luke, Nicholas Ondus and Amelia Johnson; her siblings, Robert L. Capel (Delores), Fred D. Capel (Margie), Gerald J. Capel (Jeanne) and Shirley Kastenhuber; her sister-in-law Charlotte Capel; and her son-in-law Mark Balasz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19, there will not be a funeral service per Betty's request.
