He is survived by: his wife Barbara Runkle (Blankenship); his daughter Cynthia Foster (Scott); his stepgrandchildren, Shawn Foster and Shanda Green; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Morgan Carey, Seth Foster and Wyatt Foster. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
