It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Dowty of Saint Paris, Ohio, who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Pete" Dowty and Betty (Thorpe). He is survived by: his siblings, James Dowty, Richard Dowty, Jane Dowty, Larry Dowty (Marilyn) and Suzy Dowty Anderson (Ramona Pitsinger); his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Dowty Smith, Julie Grimes (Matt), Brandy Bailey (Elwin), Murissa Hahn, Christian Young, Greg Dowty (Michelle), David Dowty (Diana), Rob Dowty (Heather), Jakob Young and Logan Pitsinger; his brother Douglas Dowty; and his nephew Kurt Dowty.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made directly to Vernon funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
