He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Thompson and Marabelle Thompson; and his siblings, Harold Jr. and June Purk (Thompson). He is survived by: his children, Diane Jess (Thomas) and Darren Thompson (Bob Michelet) of Encinitas, CA; his granddaughters, Jaclyn [David] Murray of Chapel Hill, TN, Jennifer [Chris] DeMarco and Janelle [Daniel] Bey of Conover, OH; his great grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew Murray, Kelsey, Carter, Hunter DeMarco, Evelyn and Joseph Bey; his stepgrandson Aaron [Sarah] Jess of Fort Collins, CO; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Max and Sophia Jess; and his sister Carol Jayne Craig (Thompson).
