He was predeceased by: his mother Carol H. Silver, Sr. (Greber); his wife Christine E. Kohler; his father Vernon Silver, Sr.; his siblings, Jack Vogan, Bruce Vogan, Thomas Vogan and Anna Diedrich; and his stepfather Adam "Buster" Vogan.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Silver of Lima, OH, Jeffrey Silver (Donna) of St. Marys, OH, Renae Kingen (Randy) of Huntington, WV and Deborah Alday (John) of Harvest, AL; and his sister Virginia Hinkle (James) of Tucson, AZ.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren 6 great-great-grandchildren.
