It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas P McCarthy of Saint Marys, Ohio, born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on October 19, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick McCarthy and Stella McCarthy (Rall); and his siblings, Edgar McCarthy, Rosemary McCarthy and Rebecca Kinn Wiens.
He is survived by: his wife Joanna Orians; his children, Maureen Huber (Andrew) of Livonia, Kevin DiBartilomeo (Robert) of Streamwood, Illinois, Allen McCarthy of Saint Marys, Bridget Sievert of Saint Marys, Neil McCarthy of Saint Marys, Gary McCarthy of Brownsburg, Indiana and Ryan McCarthy (Bianca) of Portland, Oregon.; and his brother Charles McCarthy of Upper Sandusky. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He mowed lawns around Saint Marys and donated the profits to the Parkinson's Foundation for many years, and he also mentored students.
