She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence McDermitt and Cordilla McDermitt (Quellhorst); her husband Verl Gayer; her brother Don McDermitt; and her siblings-in-law, James Schnelle, Kenneth Gayer (Kay), Bob Gayer (Mary) and Roberta Gayer.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Gayer of St. Marys, OH and Drew Gayer (Paula) of Cridersville, OH; her grandchildren, Amanda Gayer, Brandon Shepherd and Kalie Gayer; her sister Sue Schnelle of St. Marys, OH; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Alice McDermitt of St. Marys, OH, Harold Gayer (Angie) of Riverside, CA and Lee Gayer of Braselton, GA.. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
