He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth A. Froning Deitsch; his sons, Chad Shindeldecker and Chris Shindeldecker; and his brother Tom Deitsch. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Marsee; his daughter Lisa Keipper (Ed) of Rockford; his grandchildren, Alyssa Keipper (Ryan Bauman), Brett Swygart (Kristen Feathers) and Sydney Abromavich (Hayden); his great grandchildren, Grady McGill, Brynlee Colter, Brooklyn Swygart, Daxner Abromavich, Catherine Bauman, Atalie Bauman and Nohlan Bauman; his brother Terry; his sister-in-law Nancy Marsee; his nephews, Chris Deitsch (Beth) and Scott Marsee (Raeann); and his niece Mindy Sudhoff (Scott).
