He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Ron; his parents, Richard and Helen Haines, Sr.; his wife Donna Howell Haines; his brother John Haines; and his nephew Matthew Haines.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Stienecker (Dennis) and Richard E. Haines III (Linda) of St. Marys; his grandchildren, Julie Jacobs (Keith), Richard Haines IV, Kelli Tebbe and Angela Lee (Geoff); his nephew Jayson E. Haines; and his sisters-in-law, Gloria Spicer, Emily Leonhard and Marilyn Gibbens (Luke). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to either the Roughriders Philanthropic Association or Grand Lake Hospice.
