With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Burgess (Saint Marys, Ohio), born in East Liverpool, Ohio, who passed away on December 2, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay P. Smith and Laura Mae Thomas Smith; her husband Charles Edward "Chuck" Burgess; and her brother Jay Richard Smith. She is survived by: her children, Judith Lawton (Joseph) of Columbiana, Laura Murdock of Florida and Charlie T. Burgess (Carrie) of East Liverpool; her grandsons, Jason Lawton (Heather), Jacob Lawton (Carrie), Joshua Murdock (Shannon), Andrew Murdock, Thomas Burgess and Alex Burgess; and her siblings, Dorothy White of East Liverpool and Edward Wayne Smith (Mary Ellen) of Salem, Ohio.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
