With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lanila L. Hughes in Saint Marys, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 24, 2025 at the age of 81. Though Lanila may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lanila touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Hutchison and Irene Hutchison; and her husband Bob Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Robert W., Doug Hughes, Lori Guy and Shelly Pennybaker; and her sister Sue Hargreaves. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Twin Oaks West Pavilion.
