He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ernest Reynolds and Hester Louise Hoffman; and his brother James Scott Reynolds (Vicki Lynn Reynolds). He is survived by: his son James Richard Reynolds; his sister Janey; his brother-in-law David Ring; his nephew James Scott Reynolds II; and his niece Angela Denise Norvelle.
