He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Richard Long and Marilyn J. Long (Ward); his parents-in-law, Lionel and Ruth Krieg; and his siblings-in-law, Karl Krieg, Cindy Krieg, Larry Krieg and Joe Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene R. Krieg; his sons, Nathan Long of Waldo, OH, Victor Long (Kaylee) of St. Marys, OH and Dr. David Long (Angie) of Olmsted Twp; his grandchildren, Liam Long, Mason Long, Colby Long, Reece Long, Carsen Long, Allie Long, Alexa Long, Jackson Long and Andrew Long; his sisters, Cindy Walkup (Joe) of Wapakoneta, OH, Sue Cheslock (William) of St. Marys, OH and Melissa Goodson (Branch) of Greenville, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Krieg (Doris) of New Bremen, OH, Patricia Wilson of New Bremen, OH, Jean Olberding (Ron) of Minster, OH, Donald Krieg (Dorothy) of Wapakoneta, OH and Marvin Krieg of New Bremen, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home (314 W High St, St Marys, OH 45885). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
