It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie L Monfort of Saint Marys, Ohio, born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Burd and Jessie Burd (Gaull); her husband Eugene "Skip" Monfort, Jr.; her siblings, Darlene Klett and Donald Smart; her brother-in-law Dale Carlson; her daughter-in-law Shirley Burd; her grandson Michael Burd; and her close friend Robert Storer.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Burd (Beth) of Saint Marys, Kenneth Burd of Spencerville, Mark Monfort (Rikki Howe) of Saint Marys and Julie Thomas (Mike) of Saint Marys; her sisters, Helen Carlson of Wapakoneta and Edith Doenges of Colon, Michigan.; and her close friend Marsha Blauvelt. She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, and from 9:30-11:00 on Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Cancer Association of Auglaize County.
