He was predeceased by: his parents, James Maze and Muriel Maze (Bensman); and his son Nicholas Maze. He is survived by: his former wife Paula; his daughters, Brittany, Kristin and Taylor; and his siblings, Julia Maze of Saint Marys, Mike Maze (Carol) of Bellefontaine, Mary Cooper (Wayne) of Tempe, Arizona, Thomas Maze (Teresa) of Saint Marys, John Maze (Terri) of Saint Marys, Carol Lengerich (Dave) of Saint Marys and James Maze (Cheryl) of Saint Marys. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
