With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Al Eberle of Saint Marys, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Al left this world on January 16, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Eberle and Sylvia Eberle (Grunden); his wife Arlene Helmsing; his siblings, Frank Eberle, Mary Poppe, Vivian Glass (Al) and Pat Burden (Joe); his sister-in-law Joan Dieringer; his great grandchild Leah Newbauer; and his son-in-law Tom Ellis.

He is survived by: his children, Kate Ellis (Brad DuBois) of Saint Marys, Peg Speckman (Randy) of Saint Marys, Tim Eberle (Chae) of Powell, Ohio, Mike Eberle (Andrea) of Saint Marys, Amy Dues (Steve) of New Bremen and Mary Craft (Vince) of Saint Marys; and his grandchildren, Andrew Ellis (Nicolette), Emily Ellis, Amy Zimmerman (Ryan), Teresa Koch (Jeremy Durst), Sarah Speckman (Jeremy Sturwold), Michael Eberle (Hannah Yu), Jenna Eberle (Logan Newbauer), Charlie Eberle (Allison), Rachel Dues (Tim Williams), Mark Dues (Christa), Amanda Deubler (Jared), Nick Dues, Jon Craft (Kayla), Abbey Masonbrink (Adam), Melanie Schnippel (Tony), Kate DuBois and Jim DuBois (Jessica). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be given to St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital.
