He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Lillian Berger (Pound) and Charles David Berger; his wife Marilyn M. Berger; his son Kip Thomas Berger; and his brother Lloyd Delno Berger.
He is survived by: his children, William D. Berger (Ginny) of Newark, Charles E. Berger of Mt, Amy Jo Berger of Westerville, Karen L. Stewart (Craig) of Newark, Kurt M. Berger (Beth) of Fairfax Station, VA, Renda L. Presser (Keith) of Jacksonville, Chet A. Berger of Kettering, Renessa K. Castro (Ray) of The Woodlands and Juliane A. Cartaino of Hillsboro, Ohio.; his siblings, Loisanne Rockwell (Robert), Virginia Meyer and Thomas Berger (Barbara); and his close friend Sheila Wisecarver. He is also survived by thirty-seven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
