She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Dirksen and Philomena Dirksen (Homan); her children, Joseph Schmitmeyer and Lucy Schmitmeyer; her daughter-in-law Marlene Schmitmeyer; her grandson Ben Homan; and her in-laws, Herb Dirksen (Mary), Rita Evers (Ed), Helen Wenning (George), Esther Winner (Orville), Louis Dirksen, Dennis Dirksen, John Poeppelman, Luke Schmitmeyer, Marian Evers, Sr. (Greg), Lucille Schmitmeyer and Evelyn Bruns (Louis).
She is survived by: her children, John Schmitmeyer of Versailles, Patrick, Bob Schmitmeyer (Mary Lou) of St. Henry, Marilyn Poeppelman (Ron) of Ft. Loramie, Ann Barhorst (Paul) of Anna, Lois Schwieterman (Dave) of Celina, Jean Homan (John) of New Bremen, Linda Muhlenkamp (Kevin) of Bryant, IN and Steve Schmitmeyer (Karen) of St. Henry; her daughter-in-law Linda Giere (Joe) of Versailles; and her in-laws, Joan Poeppelman of Yorkshire, Ruth Evers (Marvin) of St. Henry, Sally Dirksen of Portland, Judy Dirksen of Cassella, Mildred Schmitmeyer of Coldwater, Eunice Dahlinghaus (Willard) of Minster, Martin Schmitmeyer (Marie) of Celina, Henrietta Knapke (Ivo) of Versailles and Ella Mae Watercutter (Roger) of Ft. Wayne, IN.. She is also survived by 59 grandchildren and 189 great-grandchildren; siblings.
