It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Irene Stroup (Saint Clairsville, Ohio), born in Salineville, Ohio, who passed away on July 26, 2018, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent William Ferguson; her husband Jack Stroup; her daughters, Jane Stroup and Sandra Givens; and her siblings, Lewis Ferguson and Verla Detchon.
She is survived by: her parent Elizabeth Allmon Ferguson; her children, James Stroup (Anne) of Chino Hills, CA and Deborah Brown (Mike) of St. Clairsville; her siblings, Sylvia Mummert of Georgetown, TN and Robert Ferguson of Dothan, AL; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Williams, Tammy Stroup, James Stroup, Jr., Mark Givens, Lori Bagley, Sharon Sims, Ryan Brown, Zachary Brown and Erin Brown. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.
