He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Groves and Hazel Williamson Groves; his wife Lois Rine Groves; and his siblings, Dorothy Murphy, Martha Stewart, Bernard and Charles Groves.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Panepucci (Dino) of Midland, Linda Coates (Mike) of Plain City and Joseph Groves (Val) of Knightdale; and his sister-in-law Carol Ann Groves of Barnesville, Ohio. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Toothman Funeral Home (141 S Marietta St, St Clairsville, OH 43950). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Holly Memorial Gardens (73360 Pleasant Grove Rd, Dillonvale, OH 43916).
