He was predeceased by: his parent George Bethel; and his brothers, Richard Bethel of Newark and William Bethel of St. Clairsville. He is survived by: his parent Gladys Bethel (Ducker); his sister Mary Jane Gummere of Bannock; his sisters-in-law, Nancy Bethel of St. Clairsville and Mae Bethel of Acworth, GA.; and his nieces and nephews, Roy Gummere (Connie) of Bannock, Richard Alan Gummere (Patty) of St. Clairsville, Robert Jay Gummere (Kathy) of Flushing, Kirk Bethel of St. Clairsville, Brian Bethel (Lorie) of St. Clairsville, Sandy Anderson of Newark, David Bethel (Mary Ann) of Grandview and Jan Goodall (Patrick) of Acworth, GA..
