He was predeceased by: his parents, Daymond Edgar Tipton and Arlie M. Bumgardner Tipton McMahon; his stepfather Harry McMahon; his daughter Melody Tipton Frazier; and his brothers, Donald, Damon "Larry" and Dwight Tipton.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Baker Tipton; and his sons, Lyle R. Tipton II (Ronda), Patrick Tipton (Christie) and Caleb Tipton (Alissa). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
