He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Vannest and Emily Vannest (Kennedy); his wife Doris Vannest (Beam); and his brothers, Sam Vannest and James Vannest.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Allen Vannest (Dorothy) of St. Clairsville, Scott Louis Vannest (Georgia) of Bellaire, Michael Jeffrey Vannest (Kayla) of Pickerinton, OH, Tessa Lynn Corcoran (Mike) of Bristow, VA, Tyler Scott Vannest of Mingo Junction and Chad Louis Vannest of Newport, KY.; and also, Mary Harley and Reverend Erica Harley.
