He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Edgell and Wilma Ruth Porter Edgell; and his siblings, Judy Cooper, Jeanette Hughes, Carl Edgell and Jim Edgell.

He is survived by: his wife Loretta Olsheski Edgell of St. Clairsville; his sisters, Karen Persina (Jeff) of Follansbee, WV and Tammy Maderia (Randy) of Follansbee, WV; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Edgell.
