He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale L. Mowen and Frances Brennan Mowen; and his brother Dale L. Mowen, II. He is survived by: his wife Doris Mowen (Davis); his children, Nancy DeBoard (Robert) and Nicholas Mowen, II; his siblings, Dawn Mowen and Donald Mowen (Judy); and his granddaughter Savannah DeBoard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio's.
