He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Sparks (Cook); his siblings, Donald Sparks and Joann Sparks; and his grandson Eric Laurent. He is survived by: his daughters, Gail Laurent (Michel), Diane Sparks, Brenda Scholl (David) and Susan Beyerle (David); his grandchildren, Renee Crim (Josh), Stephanie Shaul (Rob), Don Owen (Karen), Bridgette Langdon (Rob), Laura and Matthew Beyerle; his great grandchildren, Elanor, Meghan Crim and Henry Langdon; his sister-in-law Margaret Sparks; and his niece Janet Sparks Read (Ollie).
He passed peacefully on April 22, 2020 during the world COVID-19 pandemic, presumably from this illness.
