She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester J. Grooms and Mabel Irene 'McKenzie Grooms; her husband Russell Ailshire; her son Kenneth Ailshire; and her siblings, Coleman Grooms and Edna Bean.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda; her son-in-law John Cox of Wilmington; and her grandchildren, Mallory Dittly (John) of Cincinnati, Tiffany Ailshire of Michigan, Stephanie Seaman (Chad) of Wilmington and Justin Cox (Karissa) of Wilmington. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
