He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren D. Black and Esther Schoppert Black; his daughter Shelley K. Otworth; his brother Ronald Black; his parents-in-law, Harrison and Francis Lovsey; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Black, Charlotte Jones, Gail Lovsey and Gilbert Lovsey.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lovsey Black; his daughters, Melissa Werry of Ormond Beach, Alicia Werry Rhodes (Brent) of Pomeroy and Allison Richie; his son-in-law Jeff Otworth; his grandchildren, Collin Otworth, Jarrett Otworth, Reece Carper, Zeke and Max Richie; his siblings, Warren "Jerry" Black (Sharon) of Rutland, Kenneth Lynn Black of New Haven, WV., Debi Gilmore (Mike) of Rutland, Brynda Faulk of Dexter and Lynda Stewart Bates of Harrisburg; and his siblings-in-law, Barbra Black Shaver, Arlene Keirns (Wayne), Phyllis Bundy, Marilyn Gingerich (Mike), Linda Cvetan (George) and Larry Jones of Reynoldsburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
