He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl J. Elsas and Emma Elsas (Fitschen); his wife Roberta "Joan" Liette; his son Joseph; his brother Richard; and his siblings-in-law, Patsy Elsas, Eileen, Paul Bertelloti, Jean and Edwin Liette.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth (Sharon Elsas), Gerald "Jerry" (Diane Elsas) and David (Lynda Elsas); his grandchildren, Randy (Ashley Elsas), Angie Unrast, Danny (Kirby Elsas), Denise Elsas, Christopher (Brittany Elsas), Michael (Elaine Elsas) and Brian Elsas (Rachel Larsen); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn and Ronald. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home (555 S Liberty St, Russia, OH 45363). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Remy Catholic Church (108 E Main St, Russia, OH 45363).
Memorial donations may be made to the Russia Fire Department and St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
